In her post on revisions, Loucinda posed the question what do you look, for when revising. As I’m in the midst of editing an anthology, one point came to mind–Replicants. We each fall in love with a replicant, and it seems to vary with each chapter we write. They can range from a paragraph where every sentence starts with ‘He’ to a dozen uses of an unusual word or phrase, to 50 cases of ‘but’.
Bug spray doesn’t work on replicants, but knowing to look does cut down their numbers. Helen
