Do you enjoy the holiday season but need a break from the craziness in your life this month? Escape into someone else’s holiday story for a while with these festive reads.
And if you are interested in writing romance, take a look back at this great post from Lisa Plumley .
In Christmas Bliss, Antiques dealer Weezie Foley (from Blue Christmas) is getting ready for her wedding to chef Daniel when his work takes him to New York, forcing them to reconsider their plans. Her best friend Bebe is due to have her baby in six weeks and is having commitment issues when she learns her divorce may never have gone through. Plenty of humor and Southern charm revisit Mary Kay Andrews’ familiar characters.
J.J. Murray takes a depressed woman in a nowhere job and helps her find true love with a greeting card designer and preschool teacher in the heartwarming You Give Good Love. Hope knows her job at the copy shop leaves a lot to be desired, but she can’t muster the energy to make changes until Dylan wants to sell some of her designs in his card business. Together the two find business success and a new lease on life.
In the Holiday Kisses anthology, Jaci Burton, Alison Kent, HelenKay Dimon and Shannon Stacey heat up the holidays with four novellas about second chances at love. From sweet to sensual these stories provide plenty of spirit for the season.
The Sugar Cookie Sweetheart Swap brings erotic holiday stories from Donna Kauffman, Kate Angell and Kimberly Kincaid. These surprising and savory stories share a baking theme, including anatomically correct gingerbread men in one adventure, a food columnist in another and a bake off in the third.
Sabrina Jeffries has delighted readers with a few historical Christmas stories, including the emotionally powerful ‘Twas the Night After Christmas, featuring bitter Pierce Waverly, and his mother’s companion, Camilla, who is determined to reunite the estranged family members.
Carolyn Brown helps a new mother whose soldier boyfriend was killed, find love again in The Cowboy’s Christmas Baby. After returning from Desert Storm, Lucas Allen is surprised to find Natalie, with whom he was chatting online, filling in as a housekeeper on his ranch – with her new baby. Everyone loves the baby, and soon Lucas realizes he can’t live without the baby’s mother too.
|Terry Spear brings paranormal fans a holiday story in the latest of her werewolf series, A Seal Wolf Christmas. Navy SEAL Bjornolf is undercover as a newlywed with agent and wolf Anna, who drives him crazy. It doesn’t make anything easier that they have to pose as the aunt and uncle to an unruly teenage wolf.
