The dimensions between the two screw holes are 3 5/8 inches
The wall thermostat white covers (the kit brings 2) are specifically designed for mounting on a horizontal single gang (2*4) electrical box. The kit also includes an adapter ring so that they can also be mounted on a vertical 2*4.
This thermostat wall plate was the right size to fit the old footprint and cover everything up with no fuss. Help with covering older models and the wall discolorations and imperfections from previous mounts.
The smaller plates made it clean and looks flush.
The Larger plates can cover a wider range of wall defects.
