- Much, much better than a corkscrew, I first got a cork puller as a promotional item, years ago, and in the course of several moves I lost it. I finally decided it was long past time to quit fighting with corkscrews and go back to what works. This cork puller is well made and I expect it to last the rest of my life--with no more destroyed corks to worry about. It's easy to slip in (just rock it back and forth while pushing gently), and to remove a whole, undamaged cork, just twist and pull.
- When I first got this I did have to wrap a rubber band around the prong cover to get enough grip to remove it, but that's probably due to arthritis. I also wiped down the prongs. And then I used it to successfully remove, in seconds, a cork which had been pretty thoroughly mutilated by a corkscrew without ever budging from the bottle. I'm very, very happy with this item.

- Great tool to have for a wine lover. This tool has now saved the day more than once. For older corks, a traditional type of cork screw won't generally work without breaking the cork. I have used this multiple times now and it's easy to get the hang of. I would highly recommend this item as it's well made and come with a nice matching protective case.
