A: On my 5.7 Gi 2003 engine, (which uses the exact same fuel pumps/fuel cell parts as the Gxi), the water cooling is no where near capable of keeping the gas and HP pump temperatures down at idela and light load. In my system, I can adjust the speed of the high pressure pump slower to reduce how many circuits the gas makes through the bypass circuit.
